Aesthetic dentistry is used when the teeth are healthy but the appearance is unsatisfactory.

Is scaling harmful? Does it scratch the teeth?

The answer is absolutely no. Dental plaque causes inflammation, inflammation causes bone loss and later tooth loss. Teeth whitening is not a lifelong permanent procedure. Although this period may vary from patient to patient, it varies between 3 months and 2 years. Persons who consume beverages and foods with a lot of dyes such as cigarettes, tea and coffee have a very short permanence period. For this reason, the patient should pay attention to the food and beverage order after the bleaching process, otherwise it should be taken into account that it will not be permanent.

What is zirconium? What is porcelain?

Zirconium is a white-colored aesthetic infrastructure material that does not look aesthetically close to black in metal-supported porcelain prostheses and replaces the light-proof metal. Porcelain is processed on this zirconium infrastructure and it is possible to make aesthetic bridges and crowns (veneers) that are very close to natural teeth.

What is the E-max system? What is glass ceramic?

E-max system is the system used in new generation restorations. This system is based on transferring this measurement to the computer after the measurement is taken orally and preparing it in CAD-CAM machines connected to the computer by designing on the computer.

Today, the material that can give the closest result to natural teeth is glass ceramic. These glass ceramics are also used in the E-max system and very aesthetic appearances appear. However, its cost is among its biggest disadvantages today.

What is Leaf porcelain = Lamina = Veneer?

Leaf porcelain is an aesthetic method that can be applied when the teeth are generally healthy, but there are pits, cracks, slight crowding and gaps on the front surfaces.

While this treatment is applied, very little (0.3-0.7mm) abrasion is made on the front surface of the teeth and then the leaf porcelains are produced by taking measurements. These produced porcelains are adhered with special adhesives to give an aesthetic appearance.
